About the Author

Eric lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife, McKaila, and their introverted dog, Duncan. He has been reading since age six, when he discovered the magic of Redwall, and has been writing since the age of seven, when his mom rewarded him a quarter for every story page written. He wrote his first novel back in 6th grade: a 200-page, multiple perspective, sci-fi romp that unfortunately wasn’t any good (but hey, that’s how you live and learn).

As an adult, Eric spent a decade in the insurance field before realizing the itch to write could not be quelled by his many emails regarding product liability. Deciding it was high time to follow his dream, Eric shifted career paths and became a full-time writer in March 2025. Since then, he has released The Gravewood and Howldrim, the first two books in his Rodentia series, and is currently working on a prequel, Expedition of Mim.

Whether the genre is woodland fantasy or supernatural horror, Eric is deeply interested in exploring hypocrisy, hierarchy, and systems of oppression, and the various ways they affect the human (or rodent) condition. He is also an avid environmentalist, so you can bet that if one of his characters is sapping the land of its resources, they are probably a bad guy.
